Scout—is a 501c3 non-profit organization that celebrates, connects, and empowers filmmakers worldwide aged 24 and under. Scout's community consists of more than 6000 emerging filmmakers from 105 countries.
Founded in 2015—Scout produces an annual international film festival offering screenings, interviews, and talks with leading industry professionals.
Through the Educational Program, Scout offers support, resources, and networking opportunities through grants, mentorships, and webinars. The annual Emerging Filmmakers Grants are sponsored by Jurassic World's Writer and Director, Colin Trevorrow.
In 2021, Scout will launch a curated database of emerging filmmakers worldwide for professionals in the film industry to connect with new work and talent.
Scout's mission is to support, empower, and connect diverse emerging filmmakers worldwide. This is what we live for! Our team works to encourage creative thinking, connect emerging filmmakers with peers and industry leaders, and engage youth in making the world a better place through film.
Scout was founded by Anna Colavito and cofounder Adriana Teresa Letorney with the shared belief in building a platform that fosters a more equitable and inclusive film industry.
